Makeup Bag Haul

Recently, I have been purchasing a lot of makeup products and adding them to my makeup collection to use for the summer, fall, winter, and basically all year round. As I've been buying more products, my makeup bag has been steadily filling and growing heavier, and because of all my new interests in different makeup products as well as continuing to buy old favorites, I thought I would do a "What's In My Makeup Bag" haul for you all to show you the makeup products I use and love the most.

Face Products
1. Neutrogena visibly even BB cream (shade fair to light) - I have yet to use this BB cream, but my mother uses this daily, and is in love with it. She says that this BB cream is perfect for using daily as it doesn't cause breakouts or any irritation and is and non greasy. As a huge fan of Neutrogena products, I am sure I will love this BB cream just as much as I love their other products!
2. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream 8 in 1 beauty balm skin perfector (shade Medium) - I am in love with this BB cream! One of my best friends told me about this and I purchased it on a whim when at the drugstore, and tried it only to realize it has great coverage and doesn't feel heavy on my face. The BB cream is also moisturizing, and even though it is a small container, you only need a small amount to cover your entire face.
3. Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer (color light-medium honey) - This concealer is amazing for covering up red spots, blemishes, and uneven skin tones on the entire face. And, the fact that this concealer comes in a stick makes it so easy to apply.
4. Bare Minerals Concealer (color medium 2) - I use this concealer under my eyes to cover up dark undereye circles. This concealer is very pigmented and is a great undereye brightener, and covers up dark undereye circles well.

Lip Products
1. Clinique Long Last Glosswear (color Air Kiss) - This lip gloss is my favorite lip gloss of all time. I have been purchasing this gloss for a long time, and it never fails to amaze me! This lip gloss is the sticky kind, but it lives up to its name of being a long lasting gloss. This lip gloss will stay on even when I drink water or eat food. And, this gloss has an amazing shine to it that really completes an outfit and can be used when going to a formal event, or worn when going out shopping with friends.
2. Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick (color Matte Suede) - I have only worn this lipstick a couple times, but it is amazing. It is a very neutral color, but it is perfect for wearing around the house or out. It is also long lasting just like the lip gloss, which is a huge bonus for me. This lipstick is also super easy to apply and touch up, and will not get onto your teeth like other lip products.
3. Clinique - Clinique Pop Lip Color + Primer (color Melon Pop) - This is lipstick looks really pink in the container, but when applied it is a very feminine soft color. It is bright, which makes it perfect for summer. This lipstick is very creamy and glides on super easily, and is one of my favorite lipsticks.

Other Essentials
1. Small Compact Mirror - This mirror is perfect if you need to put makeup on but cannot get to a bathroom or are not able to find a large enough mirror. This mirror has 2 mirrors in one; the traditional one which shows all of your face, and one that has zoom so you can expertly apply makeup to specific areas of your face.

Getting Through Finals Week

As winter break is approaching and finals week is coming up, many students are stressed about how to study in order to perform successfully on their tests. Here are some tips on how to be calm, well rested, and ready for finals week. 1. Use Quizlet  - I started using Quizlet my junior year of high school, and I have used it ever since. I am now a freshman in college and I still use Quizlet for my classes. Quizlet is amazing; if you have a lot of terms you need to memorize, Quizlet is the perfect online website that will help you study those terms. Once you write in the terms and their definitions, there are a variety of options you can choose in order to study the terms, including a test, flashcards, etc. 2. Get lots of rest - Don't stay out late when you know you have a final the next day. Getting a lot of rest is beneficial if you want to perform well on a test. It does sound lame to go to sleep really early, but if you do so, your body will thank you. By going to sleep early...

Spicy Veggie Bean Chili

Since moving from my old house with a tiny, cramped kitchen to my new house with a large, open kitchen with an island, I have been meal prepping, cooking, and baking a lot more. With this, I have been keen to try new recipes! I do eat meat, but most of the time I tend to cook vegetarian and vegan meals. This vegetarian chili recipe was one that I came across while browsing for a good, hearty chili recipe, and it is so delicious I had to share it with all of you. I did not come up with this recipe myself. The lovely Shannon, with her blog "The Glowing Fridge," posted this recipe. Her website is amazing, and I highly recommend you check it out. (Also, if you are interested in more plant based recipes, take a look at Shannon's website here: https://www.theglowingfridge.com ) Ingredients: 1/3 cup vegetable broth (or 1 tbsp olive oil) - for sautéing 1 onion, diced 1/4 of a finely diced jalapeño (optional) 3 minced cloves of garlic 1 bell pepper of any color, diced 1 ...
