College and Majors

Hi everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been posting weekly; I've been super busy with my schoolwork and haven't had time to, or forgot to, blog. However, this week I am back with another post! I am in the last quarter of my first year at college, and I am sad to see it go. My first year flew by so quickly, and although I am definitely ready for summer, I am going to miss being here at school. I have already made a lot of memories, met a lot of people, and absolutely love spending my year surrounded by nature, and I am definitely going to be deprived of that this summer. However, this post is not about what I will miss; it is about majors. I am an anthropology major, and surprisingly, many people do not know what anthropology is. That shows me how people tend to think about the classic majors: biology, chemistry, physics, english, mathematics, economics, engineering, etc. So many colleges today offer a variety of majors that appeal to all students, and students need to fin...

My 2016 Night Routine

I recently made a post called "My Morning Routine, March 2016" that is about what the title says, my morning routine in college. After creating and posting that post, I felt that the whole routine posting was incomplete since there wasn't a post yet about my night routine as well. So, here it is! My 2016 night routine in college! I typically tend to wash my face before starting all of my homework. Since I typically do my homework at night, I usually wash my face after I eat dinner at the dining hall. After I get back to my dorm room, I go to the bathroom to wash my hands, then take my makeup off in my room. To remove my makeup I use the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, and then after that, go over my face one more time with the liquid Neutrogena makeup remover and a cotton face pad. I find that using both together makes my face pretty oily after I remove all of my makeup, but I deal with the oiliness because I wash my face immediately after removing my ma...

My Spring Quarter So Far...

Let me just tell you, we have just started our third quarter, which is our last quarter for the school year, and I am just straight out exhausted. Yes, you are all probably thinking that I should be energetic, refreshed, and excited to start the new quarter; however, I am pretty far from that notion. Yes, we did get one week off for Spring Break, but that was just not enough for me. However, I am trying my hardest to keep ahead of my studies and start the quarter successfully and with excitement. This quarter I decided to challenge myself more than usual by taking on four classes. Now this may not seem like much, as tons of other college students are taking four or more classes this quarter or semester, but for me, four classes is a lot. My schedule this quarter consists of an upper division course for my major (shocking right?!? I'm a freshman, who is already taking upper division courses for her major?), the final lower division course for my major, a Biology course, and a cour...
