TV Shows 2014 Style

I wanted to post an update on the TV shows I am currently watching in my spare time. Yes, the last time I mentioned how I was currently watching or was interested in the popular ones, including American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, etc. Now, it is safe to say I have moved on to different shows; I find it hard to stay consistent with one show after so many seasons have gone by.

There has been, and will continue to be a steady flow of new TV shows being introduced into the world, and here are some that I have picked up on recently:

1. Scandal - This show is a political thriller show starring Kerry Washington. Washington, who plays Olivia Pope, has dedicated her life to protecting the public, while handling secret missions such as murders and fake identities, while trying to keep in line with her own life. The show has cliff hangers and surprise endings, while portraying love triangles and affairs between characters. It is popular among teens and adults, and will have you hooked by the first episode.

2. One Tree Hill - This show is no longer airing, but has all 9 seasons on Netflix. It is a drama series portraying the life of 2 half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan, who struggle to connect, but learn to bond through their tumultuous lifestyles. Nathan struggles to maintain a relationship while being good enough in basketball to please his dad's expectations of him, while Lucas tries to find the meaning in his life, while being torn between two girls, not sure who is best for him. The show leaves you wanting more, and you will be sitting at home all day just watching this show.

3. Resurrection - This show follows the plot of Jacob, a young boy who died 32 years ago, only to wake up again, and still be the same age as he was before he died. Time has passed for everyone else, but not for Jacob. Along with Jacob, others have been coming back to life, but are unaware of the fact that they had died. This mystery leaves watchers with a slightly horrified feeling, but in a way that makes them want to watch more and more.

Book Recommendations

I am a huge book worm and try to read whenever I have time, which is usually late at night before I go to bed, on weekends, or on breaks. I recently found that I was short on books to read, which led me to research on Google novels that would appeal to me. Because I am a sucker for romance movies, I mainly looked for that genre of novels. I recently got a few novels in the mail along with a few that a friend let me borrow, and I want to share them with you. 1. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - I have read this book around three or four times, and it is still my favorite novel. It is a story about two teenagers who do have cancer, but it focuses more on the blossoming love story between them and how their world changes because of that as they also go through ups and downs due to their illnesses. It is a great read anywhere and anytime, and will always make you tear up by the end. 2. Let It Snow - This novel consists of three holiday stories written by John Green, Maure...

Dairy-free Banana Bread

From the end of 2019 to now, I have been really into baking breads. Out of the ones I have made, making banana bread and pumpkin walnut bread have been my top favorites. One of the first banana breads that I made was utterly delicious! However, because I like to share my baked goods with others, particularly my boyfriend, I went on the hunt for a dairy free recipe. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant, and I wanted to bake something that both he and I could enjoy. So, upon coming upon this recipe during my search online, I made a loaf last night and it was so delicious I had to share it on the blog. Here is the recipe! Photo from Google Images Ingredients: 4 very ripe bananas 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup canola oil or coconut oil 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp sea salt Steps: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
