Clothing and Accessories Haul

With the money I received from the holidays, I spent basically all of it on clothing and accessories to dress up my wardrobe a bit. Because I was away for half of my winter break on vacation, I did a lot of online shopping due to the inability to physically go to the stores I wanted to visit. So, here is a small haul of all the items I ordered and the stores in which I purchased them from.

1. Crossbody bags - As spring approaches and then summer, I discovered that I needed a few crossbody or shoulder bags for when I go out with friends or on day trips to the beach and whatnot. I have one main purse that I use every time I go out, and I bought a few crossbody bags just so I wouldn't have to use my one purse every time I went out. I visited my favorite websites, Urban Outfitters, H&M, and Express for good quality but not as expensive bags, and settled on Forever 21. From that store I purchased two crossbody bags, a black quilted cross body bag for $14.50, and a black faux leather crossbody for $10.50. These two bags can be dressed up or down, and they appeared to be capable of holding the necessities (phone, lipgloss, money, sunglasses, etc.), and were at a reasonable price, so I bought them online. I am sure they will be perfect for spring and summer!

*Update: I went to Urban Outfitters today and looked at all the crossbody bags they were selling, and picked one out. It is small and able to fit feminine products, hair ties, lipgloss, and money but not my phone. However, it is perfect for summer trips, when out for lunch, or on a date. It was $42 and is a pink envelope type of bag, with a magnetic snap to close it. The chain on it is quite long, but it can be worn as a crossbody or just on the shoulder and is very casual. (I could not find the link to this crossbody bag, sorry!)

2. 5SOS Merchandise - Speaking of the summer, I also nerded out completely and purchased a 5 Seconds of Summer football shirt from their website. I discovered the football shirts with the boys's last names on the back along with a number, and I fell in love with them, and purchased one for $30. I bought the Hemmings one as Luke is my favorite out of the band, and am contemplating buying the Hood one as well, as Calum is my second favorite. My friend purchased the Irwin one and will be wearing that to the concert along with my wearing my Hemmings shirt, so if you see two girls at the concert in an Irwin and Hemmings shirt, that is probably us!

3. Victoria's Secret - I also went to Victoria's Secret (again) to buy some more intimates for myself. Although this is the place where I spent the most money it was definitely worth it, as Victoria's Secret products last forever, as I mentioned in last week's post. Their products are very flattering and comfortable, so it makes sense that I spent a lot of money there in the end. (I did not post the links to the products I bought because they are intimates)

4. Cabona's - I went to Tahoe during winter break, and my family and I went into Truckee for one of the afternoon to do some shopping. We went into Cabona's where I tried on this beautiful ring for $32, and I purchased it. Cabona's has really nice items that are on the more fancy and expensive side, but they are stunning and flattering. (I could not find the link to the ring I bought; sorry!)

Book Recommendations

I am a huge book worm and try to read whenever I have time, which is usually late at night before I go to bed, on weekends, or on breaks. I recently found that I was short on books to read, which led me to research on Google novels that would appeal to me. Because I am a sucker for romance movies, I mainly looked for that genre of novels. I recently got a few novels in the mail along with a few that a friend let me borrow, and I want to share them with you. 1. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - I have read this book around three or four times, and it is still my favorite novel. It is a story about two teenagers who do have cancer, but it focuses more on the blossoming love story between them and how their world changes because of that as they also go through ups and downs due to their illnesses. It is a great read anywhere and anytime, and will always make you tear up by the end. 2. Let It Snow - This novel consists of three holiday stories written by John Green, Maure...

Dairy-free Banana Bread

From the end of 2019 to now, I have been really into baking breads. Out of the ones I have made, making banana bread and pumpkin walnut bread have been my top favorites. One of the first banana breads that I made was utterly delicious! However, because I like to share my baked goods with others, particularly my boyfriend, I went on the hunt for a dairy free recipe. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant, and I wanted to bake something that both he and I could enjoy. So, upon coming upon this recipe during my search online, I made a loaf last night and it was so delicious I had to share it on the blog. Here is the recipe! Photo from Google Images Ingredients: 4 very ripe bananas 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup canola oil or coconut oil 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp sea salt Steps: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a standard size loaf pan (I use olive ...
