Fruit-Infused Water

I have been known to not drink enough water, whether at school, at home, or when out with family and friends. I have been this way for as long as I remember, and lately I have been constantly reminding myself to continuously drink water to refrain from becoming dehydrated. Because water alone isn't that appealing to me I turned to fruit-infused water, and that completely redefined my view on water. Now, I find myself drinking glasses and glasses of water!

Fruit-infused water might be popular as of right now, but it just came onto my radar. Since I literally have to force myself to drink water and stay hydrated, having fruit-infused water makes the whole process so much easier for me. What I like to put in my water are a variety of fruits, whether it's strawberries, kiwis, lemons, limes, and even apples! I find that slicing up these fruits and plopping them into a glass of water provides a subtle flavor that makes the water taste amazing, and some fruits even contain detoxifying minerals that are good for your body.

My favorite types of flavored water are when I chop up one large strawberry, put that in a glass and fill it up with water, a glass of water filled with a few thin slices of lemon, or water with a few slices of cucumber in the glass. I find that drinking fruit-infused water is so healthy and a good way to stay hydrated if drinking plain water from the tap doesn't interest you. And, the fact that the fruit floating in a glass of water is such a pretty sight makes drinking the water even more appealing and social media worthy!

If you are worried that the fruit might be "out of flavor" after just one glass, think again. Because the fruit is sitting in a glass of water some of the minerals/flavors from the fruit will seep into the water, but the fruit will still be full of flavor for multiple glasses of water. Simply chop up a few pieces of your favorite fruits with flavors that you think will go together, put them in a glass, and fill that glass up with water!

Drinking fruit-infused water has basically rewritten the whole process of staying hydrated for me. I absolutely love fruit-infused water; it's healthy, delicious, and looks really appealing. And, besides putting slices or pieces of fruit in your water, you can also put cucumbers in there as well, like I mentioned before. You can create different fruit mixtures to put in your water that I'm sure will look pretty and taste great! Having fruit-infused water is my new interest and passion, and I recommend it to everyone, as it provides a very slight hint of flavor, and it provides a refreshing taste and helps detoxify your body!

Book Recommendations

I am a huge book worm and try to read whenever I have time, which is usually late at night before I go to bed, on weekends, or on breaks. I recently found that I was short on books to read, which led me to research on Google novels that would appeal to me. Because I am a sucker for romance movies, I mainly looked for that genre of novels. I recently got a few novels in the mail along with a few that a friend let me borrow, and I want to share them with you. 1. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - I have read this book around three or four times, and it is still my favorite novel. It is a story about two teenagers who do have cancer, but it focuses more on the blossoming love story between them and how their world changes because of that as they also go through ups and downs due to their illnesses. It is a great read anywhere and anytime, and will always make you tear up by the end. 2. Let It Snow - This novel consists of three holiday stories written by John Green, Maure...

Dairy-free Banana Bread

From the end of 2019 to now, I have been really into baking breads. Out of the ones I have made, making banana bread and pumpkin walnut bread have been my top favorites. One of the first banana breads that I made was utterly delicious! However, because I like to share my baked goods with others, particularly my boyfriend, I went on the hunt for a dairy free recipe. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant, and I wanted to bake something that both he and I could enjoy. So, upon coming upon this recipe during my search online, I made a loaf last night and it was so delicious I had to share it on the blog. Here is the recipe! Photo from Google Images Ingredients: 4 very ripe bananas 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup canola oil or coconut oil 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp sea salt Steps: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
