Do You Wanna Build A Snowman?

Elsa... Do you want to build a snowman? Come on lets go and play, I never see you anymore Come out the door It's like you've gone away- These are the lyrics to one of the most popular movies, Frozen . From the moment the movie was released in theaters lines upon lines of people were waiting outside, all anxious to see what the movie had in store for them. As I went to the theaters not to see that movie but another I eyed the lines suspiciously as I walked by, as I had never seen so many anxious fans with the exception of all the Twilight films. After hearing Frozen  become the talk  at school, I decided to watch the movie myself to see what made it so intriguing for people of all ages. As I sat down, all ready to watch this movie with my parents, I wasn't expecting much. I knew the basic plot, sister has special powers, the younger sister is shut out of her world, there's a snowman, etc. But once I got deeper in the movie everything clicked; the film was adorabl...

How It All Started....

So, I have had my blog for about 5-6 months now, and I realized that in all my 31 posts, now going 32 with this one, I have never made a post explaining how I got hooked onto this whole idea of blogging. So, this post is dedicated to talking all about that. I decided to start blogging after an adult brought the topic up. As an aspiring journalist who loves writing along with the art of photography and what not, I thought hm.... maybe blogging would be a good idea. So, sometime in October or November of 2013 I created my first blog account on blogger.com. Now I posted my first post expecting to not get many readers, but as I continued posting weekly, my amount of readers jumped up to the hundreds, and is now in the thousands, continuing to grow every single day. Blogging has now become part of my life, and I wonder how I have lived many years of my teenager life without having a blog to write all my feelings and emotions and post it online. Having a blog is fantastic; you can spend ...

Awkward.

I was intrigued by my friend's facebook post, where he stated he was stoked the show Awkward was back on air for its 4th season. I am attempting to stay up to date on my TV shows, and am barely able to handle watching the populars: Modern Family, Game of Thrones, Resurrection, etc. But, sitting in class listening to my friends talk about Awkward makes me feel, well, AWKWARD . Being someone who has not watched that show means I can't participate in that in depth conversation and all their talk about how hot the guys are. Because of this want to participate in their gossip about the show, I just had to watch one episode. So I did. Awkward airs on MTV, so I looked it up online, only to find that season 4 episode 1 was the only available episode I could watch. Now because I wanted to see why this show is what everyone is talking about, I watched the episode. Sure, the plot was confusing and everything was fast paced. But the 41 minutes that I sat watching the computer screen ...

Dear Diary

Located on State Street in Downtown Santa Barbara, Dear Diary attracts women of all ages to browse their clothing options. This small boutique offers clothing whose styles are both unique and in fashion. According to a student who spends a lot of time in downtown Santa Barbara, "Dear Diary is a boutique that has clothing that hasn't yet spread out to other stores, which is great because if you don't live in Santa Barbara, it is likely that no one else will have it but you." This is true, as although the boutique offers clothing in the range of Free People and Urban Outfitters, their clothing is still completely unique from other stores that are appealing to teenagers.  When I went to visit my brother in Santa Barbara, he told me about Dear Diary, and how they offered clothing that he could see me wearing on a daily basis. I went into the store not knowing what to expect, and was met with the most beautiful and in style clothing ever. I spent a good five minute...

Anti-Prom

High schools have been hosting what students consider to be the biggest dance of the year. That's right, prom. My school has, in fact, already hosted prom at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Now, although students give in to the stereotypical norms of prom, with the girls making appointments to get a manicure or their hair done at least two months in advance or  the guys knowing who to ask to prom, some students don't attend the dance. So, I decided to list some fun, yet creative anti-prom ideas for those who want to kick back, watch some TV and stay in for that night, and not have to worry about the stress that prom brings. Anti-prom ideas: Sit back on the couch, relax, and watch all nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother . The finale of season 9 is a shocker. For girls: Enjoy the fact that you avoided spending hundreds of dollars finding a dress and heels that would leave you with blistered feet after an hour of dancing. For guys: Be thankful you don't ha...
