High schools have been hosting what students consider to be the biggest dance of the year. That's right, prom. My school has, in fact, already hosted prom at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco. Now, although students give in to the stereotypical norms of prom, with the girls making appointments to get a manicure or their hair done at least two months in advance or the guys knowing who to ask to prom, some students don't attend the dance.
So, I decided to list some fun, yet creative anti-prom ideas for those who want to kick back, watch some TV and stay in for that night, and not have to worry about the stress that prom brings.

So, I decided to list some fun, yet creative anti-prom ideas for those who want to kick back, watch some TV and stay in for that night, and not have to worry about the stress that prom brings.
Anti-prom ideas:
- Sit back on the couch, relax, and watch all nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother. The finale of season 9 is a shocker.
- For girls: Enjoy the fact that you avoided spending hundreds of dollars finding a dress and heels that would leave you with blistered feet after an hour of dancing.
- For guys: Be thankful you don't have to stress about finding a date for prom, coming up with a clever idea to ask a girl, and not having to buy a corsage for your date.
- Have a dance party. In your house. Alone.
- Bake! There's nothing better than filling your day up with the sweet smell of baked goods!
- Scroll through your Facebook news feed and look at all the pictures of your peers with their dates.
- Hang out with your cat.
- Sleep.
- Eat.
- Be thankful you don't have to endure 4 to 5 hours of awkward dancing with teenagers constantly bumping into you.
