My Favorite Stores 2014 Style

Because it is winter break, I have been shopping a lot, whether it was for Christmas presents, presents for my teachers, or shopping at my favorite clothing stores for myself. I wanted to share my favorite stores that I rely on to buy the necessities I need to make each present and add to my wardrobe, in case any of you guys want to check out these stores I will be mentioning.

1. CVS/Walgreens - Lets just say that I splurged on buying many things to help concoct the Christmas gifts I made for my teachers and college counselor. I love CVS and Walgreens because even though they are drugstores, they have the best selection of chocolates and candles, and when it gets closer to Christmas, they stock up on the cutest gifts, from peppermint bark to adorable Christmas cards. Even when it is not the holidays I still am a regular at these drugstores whether to buy hair products, makeup, or other necessities.

2. Sephora - I love Sephora because of the great quality products they sell. I went to Sephora yesterday, and purchased a new makeup bag for home and traveling, and a new Tarte Amazonian Clay concealer and compact mirror. Sephora has the best brands of makeup, and always have my favorites, Soap and Glory, Bare Minerals, Clinique, Tarte, and the Sephora Collection. Although their makeup can be a bit on the expensive side, their products last a long time, are of great quality, and someone will always be there to help you if you need help finding a specific product or are not sure what type of makeup suits you. I rarely walk out of Sephora without a new makeup product in my hand.

3. Godiva Chocolatier - I don't normally go into this store, but I did to get Christmas presents for my family, as they love chocolate, especially Godiva. Godiva offers so many different types of chocolate for great prices, and I walked out in 10 minutes with presents for each of my family members. I love this store because they have a great selection of products that are certain to meet every customers needs, and the store is so adorable that you automatically feel comfortable once you set foot inside.

4. Victoria's Secret - I have been a huge fan of Victoria's Secret for a few years, and I recently went back to look for a new perfume. I love the Pink brand body mists, and even though they aren't really perfumes, I like wearing them daily, as they smell fantastic. Victoria's Secret is expensive, but their quality of products is great, and their leggings, yoga pants, and sweatshirts are very comfortable. Like
Sephora, once I walk into Victoria's Secret I rarely walk out without having bought anything.

Book Recommendations

I am a huge book worm and try to read whenever I have time, which is usually late at night before I go to bed, on weekends, or on breaks. I recently found that I was short on books to read, which led me to research on Google novels that would appeal to me. Because I am a sucker for romance movies, I mainly looked for that genre of novels. I recently got a few novels in the mail along with a few that a friend let me borrow, and I want to share them with you. 1. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - I have read this book around three or four times, and it is still my favorite novel. It is a story about two teenagers who do have cancer, but it focuses more on the blossoming love story between them and how their world changes because of that as they also go through ups and downs due to their illnesses. It is a great read anywhere and anytime, and will always make you tear up by the end. 2. Let It Snow - This novel consists of three holiday stories written by John Green, Maure...

Dairy-free Banana Bread

From the end of 2019 to now, I have been really into baking breads. Out of the ones I have made, making banana bread and pumpkin walnut bread have been my top favorites. One of the first banana breads that I made was utterly delicious! However, because I like to share my baked goods with others, particularly my boyfriend, I went on the hunt for a dairy free recipe. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant, and I wanted to bake something that both he and I could enjoy. So, upon coming upon this recipe during my search online, I made a loaf last night and it was so delicious I had to share it on the blog. Here is the recipe! Photo from Google Images Ingredients: 4 very ripe bananas 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup canola oil or coconut oil 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp sea salt Steps: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
