Favorite TV Shows Update

I have been doing a few posts on my favorite TV shows, as I am constantly finding new ones to watch along with old shows that pop up in my viewing browser and catch my eye. Because I have recently discovered TV shows and have started watching them, I just wanted to discuss the plot of the shows and why I love them so much.

1. HTGAWM - HTGAWM, or How To Get Away With Murder, is one of my new favorite TV shows as of 2014. It is a drama series featuring Annalise Keating (Viola Davis), who plays a law professor who calls her class, How To Get Away With Murder. This show would seem pretty normal, however it has a twist: each of the few students studying under her wing have their own secrets, and Mrs. Keating has her own too. And when Mrs. Keating and the students become involved in a murder case, they have to put their skills to the test, which changes the way they see their lives and future.

2. Parks and Recreation - Parks and Rec is a comedy TV show. Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), who works in the governmental branch of Parks and Recreation, decides it is in her best interest to help local citizen Ann Perkins (Rashida Jones) turn an abandoned construction site into a park. Although this seems like a good idea, the only problem facing them is the idea that no one is behind the idea. Leslie's boss couldn't care less about the project, Leslie's coworker helps only if he will benefit, and there are angry neighbors and citizens who do not support the park.

3. New Girl - New Girl is also a comedy. Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moves in with 3 guys: Schmidt, who cares more about his social standing and job than anything else; Nick, who wants to be successful but is a bartender instead, and Winston, a former athlete who wanted to become pro but never made it. The 4 of them along with Cece, Jess's best friend, live their different lives, going through the ups and downs together as they all move towards the future.

4. Friends - When Friends came back onto Netflix I was thrilled, as it was one of my favorite shows. Friends is about a group of friends who live in New York together in the same apartment complex and share everything with each other, from new jobs to boyfriends/girlfriends and personal issues in their lives. Each episode of this show has me laughing really hard, as the characters are hilarious, really embrace their roles, and convey a fantastic plot with multiple hilarious moments.

Book Recommendations

I am a huge book worm and try to read whenever I have time, which is usually late at night before I go to bed, on weekends, or on breaks. I recently found that I was short on books to read, which led me to research on Google novels that would appeal to me. Because I am a sucker for romance movies, I mainly looked for that genre of novels. I recently got a few novels in the mail along with a few that a friend let me borrow, and I want to share them with you. 1. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - I have read this book around three or four times, and it is still my favorite novel. It is a story about two teenagers who do have cancer, but it focuses more on the blossoming love story between them and how their world changes because of that as they also go through ups and downs due to their illnesses. It is a great read anywhere and anytime, and will always make you tear up by the end. 2. Let It Snow - This novel consists of three holiday stories written by John Green, Maure...

Dairy-free Banana Bread

From the end of 2019 to now, I have been really into baking breads. Out of the ones I have made, making banana bread and pumpkin walnut bread have been my top favorites. One of the first banana breads that I made was utterly delicious! However, because I like to share my baked goods with others, particularly my boyfriend, I went on the hunt for a dairy free recipe. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant, and I wanted to bake something that both he and I could enjoy. So, upon coming upon this recipe during my search online, I made a loaf last night and it was so delicious I had to share it on the blog. Here is the recipe! Photo from Google Images Ingredients: 4 very ripe bananas 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup canola oil or coconut oil 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp sea salt Steps: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
