Halloween 2016

I have some great news that I am sure will make everyone excited: Halloween is in three days!! Everyone views holidays differently, and although Halloween is not my favorite holiday, I still love when the month of October rolls around! Everyone has been breaking out the Halloween decorations since the beginning of the month, and it has just intensified as the month went on. Now, as we are three days out from this fantastic holiday, I hope everyone is excited!

When I grew up, my parents and my brother and I would always decorate our house and have the biggest bag of Halloween candy for the cute little trick or treaters that would come to our door nonstop on Halloween. We lived in a kid-friendly neighborhood, and had consistent trick or treaters year after year. However, since I moved to a different part of the Bay Area, we haven't had trick or treaters since more adults live there and not as many kids. However, we do have new neighbors who have little kids, so maybe we will be getting trick or treaters there!

I definitely miss having trick or treaters coming to my front door and being able to smile at them and gush over their adorable costumes, but I think I miss trick or treating more. I always had the best time going out with my friends dressed up on Halloween, and getting to collect loads of candy that would last me for months after Halloween. However, I stopped trick or treating in high school, so I always had to resort to buying myself Halloween candy or not having candy at all. However, now that I am in college, I usually spend Halloween watching horror films with friends while snacking on popcorn and candy.

I hope that all of you guys enjoy your Halloween and do what you want! Go trick or treating, go party with your friends, hang out with friends, or give out candy to trick or treaters when they come to your house! Halloween is a very exciting holiday where everyone is allowed to dress up and enjoy a day filled with Halloween related activities and fun, and I hope that everyone has a great day! If Halloween is not your favorite holiday, still have fun with friends and family! The holidays are exciting, and are special days to embrace! Go carve a jack o lantern, trick or treat, party, go out to dinner, etc. Just make sure you have fun!

Book Recommendations

I am a huge book worm and try to read whenever I have time, which is usually late at night before I go to bed, on weekends, or on breaks. I recently found that I was short on books to read, which led me to research on Google novels that would appeal to me. Because I am a sucker for romance movies, I mainly looked for that genre of novels. I recently got a few novels in the mail along with a few that a friend let me borrow, and I want to share them with you. 1. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - I have read this book around three or four times, and it is still my favorite novel. It is a story about two teenagers who do have cancer, but it focuses more on the blossoming love story between them and how their world changes because of that as they also go through ups and downs due to their illnesses. It is a great read anywhere and anytime, and will always make you tear up by the end. 2. Let It Snow - This novel consists of three holiday stories written by John Green, Maure...

Dairy-free Banana Bread

From the end of 2019 to now, I have been really into baking breads. Out of the ones I have made, making banana bread and pumpkin walnut bread have been my top favorites. One of the first banana breads that I made was utterly delicious! However, because I like to share my baked goods with others, particularly my boyfriend, I went on the hunt for a dairy free recipe. My boyfriend is lactose intolerant, and I wanted to bake something that both he and I could enjoy. So, upon coming upon this recipe during my search online, I made a loaf last night and it was so delicious I had to share it on the blog. Here is the recipe! Photo from Google Images Ingredients: 4 very ripe bananas 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup canola oil or coconut oil 2 eggs 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 tsp sea salt Steps: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
